The 2022 Weinstein Finewine tour took us to Spain, to some of the country's most renowned wine regions, specifically to the historic and regal "Castilla y León".
Exclusive visits, tastings of rare vintages, and conversations with renowned winemakers made the tour an unforgettable experience. The trip was rounded off by first-class Spanish cuisine and cultural highlights. A perfect combination of enjoyment, knowledge, and discovery – all centered around wine.
A special highlight was the visit to our long-standing partner Viñaguareña in the Toro region. The barrel samples from 2021 caused such excitement that it led to the idea of creating a special edition from them. Consequently, one barrel was bottled exclusively for us, and the 300 bottles have finally arrived at our premises after final maturation and bottling.
The Munia Carácter 2021 is an intense and full-bodied wine. On the nose, it offers dark fruit aromas of blackberry, damson, and a hint of plum. Balsamic nuances, cloves, and wood complete the bouquet. The wine was aged in French oak barriques, which gives it body and structure without overpowering the flavor. On the palate, the wine is "juicy," the tannins are fine-grained, and all components are well-balanced.
The wine is now available from us for €14 per bottle, incl. 20% VAT, while stocks last. This weekend (today, Friday, March 21st, and tomorrow, Saturday, March 22nd), it can be tasted for free in the Vinothek.
