Château Daugay – St. Emilion Grand Cru 2015

The 5.5 hectares of Château Daugay formerly belonged to the neighboring Château Angelus and became a separate estate as a result of inheritance. The terroir is characterized by limestone and cooling clay and is ideal for the planting of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fruit-driven with notes of ripe dark berries and stone fruit, soft tannins, and a full-bodied, juicy character that draws through to the back, with a Burgundian feel on the finish.
