Cesare Bussolo - Barolo DOCG Commune di La Morra 2020

The grapes come from the village of La Morra in the Barolo region. Here, the wines turn out somewhat more fragrant and lighter than in the eastern part of the Barolo area. The Tortonian soils are slightly lighter and sandier, yet still rich in limestone. The world's greatest wines come from this region, and Cesare knows how to work with this terroir to vinify elegant wines. His reduction in yield goes back to his mentor Roberto Voerzio, for whom he still works as cellar master. Up to 1kg per vine is pruned here. The result is enormous power and great potential, but also a unique signature and character. For us, the whole thing is incredibly harmonious, and we were socialized with this type of Barolo. Only about 4,000 bottles are produced annually.
