Lupicaia is one of the truly great Super Tuscans, though it remains somewhat in the shadow of its "-aia" peers. This is a great advantage in terms of price, because in terms of content, we are talking about an elegant, fully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with intense aromas of bell pepper, cassis, and fine wood. Balanced and harmonious, the Lupicaia dances on the palate, its fine-grained tannin structure holding everything together before it pleasurably disappears into the evening sun over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
