Château Gruaud-Larose - St. Julien AC 2008

Gruaud Larose is one of the so-called "Super-Seconds," highly regarded for their quality and consistency. In St. Julien, there are no First Growths, and alongside the Léovilles, this château is one of the leading estates in the Médoc sub-region. The vineyards surrounding the château are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Sustainable cultivation, state-of-the-art technology including optical grape-sorting machines, and many helping hands instructed to work with great precision define the château's daily operations today. These efforts result in an elegant and noble wine, which, due to changes in ownership over the last few decades, has increasingly shifted toward finesse and currently presents itself at a very high level.
