Zottl Winery - Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Hinterkirchen Wachau DAC 2025

A special edition for Weinstein Finewine, the Steinfeder Grüner Veltliner by Franz Zottl from the Wachau region was designed by our graphic artist Andi Haselwanter. The fine lines on the label symbolize the blades of grass that give the "Steinfeder" name its origin. With only up to 11.5% vol. alc., these Steinfeder wines have become rare and a challenge nowadays. In general, certification based on must weight and alcohol has come under criticism.

The wine is fresh, light, and lively. Delicate apple and citrus notes define the bouquet. The wine is incredibly enjoyable, especially in summer, and is very popular due to its moderate alcohol content and drinkability. Some might even call it a "terrace wine." Perhaps this term is now worth introducing into a classification.
