Schützenhof Winery - Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Father and son worked together on this Cab Sav before the estate was handed over to Markus. A powerful Cabernet that is typical of the variety, with savory aromas and a certain individuality. The goal here wasn't to put makeup and hair curlers on a Barbie, but rather to accompany Ken on a pub crawl with his buddies. Somewhat smoky, somewhat animalistic, wood aromas on various levels, all with plenty of power from start to finish. The 2011 is at a wonderful drinking stage, with fine-grained tannins and a fresh, supporting acidity.
