Weingut Gross - Pinot Blanc Ehrenhausen 2024

The Weißburgunder Ehrenhausen from Weingut Gross in Southern Styria is a finely structured, characterful village wine in the style of the Southern Styria DAC. The grapes are sourced from the limestone-rich sites around Ehrenhausen and are selectively harvested by hand. The wine is aged partly in large wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel; it first matures on its fine lees in wood for about 14 months before being refined for several more months in steel tanks. On the nose, it displays a clear, elegant aroma of pear, grapefruit, and subtle hints of walnut and brioche. On the palate, the wine is dense and rich in extract, while simultaneously supported by precise freshness and salty minerality. The Weißburgunder Ehrenhausen is a versatile food companion—ideal with seafood, fish, poultry, or delicate vegetable dishes—and represents the Southern Styrian terroir in a particularly elegant form.
