Vincent Pinard - Sancerre "Harmonie" 2023

The Sancerre Harmonie from Domaine Vincent Pinard is an expressive Sauvignon Blanc that impressively reflects the mineral depth and elegance of the chalk-rich soils of Bué in the Loire Valley. The grapes are sourced from approximately 50-year-old vines grown on the renowned Chêne Marchand and Grand Chemarin vineyards. The vinification is carried out with great care: after manual harvesting, the grapes are pneumatically pressed. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with natural yeasts, followed by 10 to 12 months of aging, with two-thirds of the wine matured in demi-muids (600-liter barrels) and one-third in wooden casks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. On the nose, the Harmonie presents intense aromas of white flowers, fresh herbs, and green apples. On the palate, it exhibits notes of citrus fruits and dried fruit, accompanied by a pleasant acidity and a chalky texture that lends it freshness and structure. Sancerre Harmonie is an excellent accompaniment to seafood, fish dishes, or goat cheese and possesses remarkable aging potential until at least 2032.
