Tinhof – Pinot Blanc Ried Tatschler 2021

The 2021 Weißburgunder Ried Tatschler from the Erwin Tinhof winery in Eisenstadt is a characterful single-vineyard wine from the Leithaberg region in Burgenland. The vines grow in lime-rich brown earth soils, which give the wine its distinct minerality. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and, following an 8-hour maceration period, undergo spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts in used 500-liter wooden barrels. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to preserve the wine's freshness and structure. In the glass, the wine presents a bright golden yellow. Aromas of fresh yellow apple and meadow herbs unfold on the nose. On the palate, it is juicy with subtle stone fruit nuances, a refined structure, and a hint of blossom honey. The finish is mineral with delicate caramel and a lemony aftertaste.
