The Derrière la Mont Aigu Extra Brut N°13 from Pertois-Lebrun is an outstanding Champagne from the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Brothers Clément and Antoine Pertois vinify strictly by parcel here, in order to authentically bring the mineral character of the terroir of Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, and Chouilly into the bottle. The N°13 comes from the single vineyard Derrière la Mont Aigu and is made exclusively from Chardonnay. Aging on the lees gives it depth and creaminess, while the very low dosage (Extra Brut) ensures precision and clarity. On the nose, it shows citrus, white flowers, and chalk; on the palate, salty minerality, fine structure, and great length combine. A Champagne for connoisseurs that embodies the pure elegance of the Côte des Blancs – perfect as an aperitif, with oysters, or fine sashimi.
