A true Prieler classic and a great example of how much origin can be packed into a Pinot Blanc. The Pinot Blanc Schützen Ried Seeberg 2025 comes from the mighty limestone soils of the Seeberg above Schützen am Gebirge. Fossils and seashells still bear witness today to the sea that shaped these soils millions of years ago. The limestone retains moisture excellently and forms the basis for the wine's precise, mineral style.
In the glass, the 2025 vintage appears elegant and juicy with pear, quince, and fine citrus notes, accompanied by a subtle spice and a cool, salty minerality. A day of skin contact provides additional structure, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and maturation on the fine lees until bottling. The result is a Pinot Blanc with a fine melt, lively acidity, and remarkable pull on the finish. Organically certified, hand-harvested, and pleasantly balanced at 13% vol.
A versatile food companion that works just as well with fish, seafood, white meat, and refined vegetable cuisine as it does on its own. Uncomplicated enough for that first glass, yet with enough origin and substance to merit closer attention.
