The small domaine is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits and covers 16 hectares, with sites from the famous Côte-de-Nuits appellation. A few years ago, Benoit Lignier took over the family business's vineyards and cellar, and he engages intensively with its "lieux-dits." One could say he tries to communicate with them and grow alongside them. The goal is to conjure the terroir and the vintage into the bottle in the best possible way. With great respect for the vast potential of the sites, near-natural farming, some restraint, and patience, Benoit vinifies multi-faceted and nuanced Burgundies that offer long aging potential and live up to the elegance and magnificence of Burgundy throughout the entire range.
