Domaine Albert Morot - Beaune "Marconnets" 1er Cru 2022

With the exception of rare and highly sought-after 1er Cru sites planted with Pinot Noir, these have been part of Domaine Albert Morot since 1820, which changed ownership in 2023. Our friend and long-time partner Geoffroy has retired. It was through him that the winery was elevated to top quality and organic viticulture was implemented. The new oenologist is Pierre-Jean Villa, who actually comes from the Rhône and runs his family estate in Chavanay. We look forward to what is to come and can assume that the quality will continue to rise. For the 2022 vintage, Geoffroy and Pierre-Jean worked together, and as everywhere in Burgundy, the wines are very fruity, accessible, and represent a solid and good vintage. The 1er Crus from Domaine Morot offer an excellent price-performance ratio and represent a traditional wine style typical of the region that makes the hearts of true Burgundy lovers beat faster.
