Domaine Albert Morot - Beaune 1st Cru "Les Bressandes" 2022

With the exception of rare and highly sought-after 1er Cru plots planted with Pinot Noir, the Domaine Albert Morot, which changed owners in 2023, has been established since 1820. Our friend and long-time partner Geoffroy has retired to a well-earned rest. It was through him that the winery was elevated to top quality and organic viticulture was implemented. The new oenologist is Pierre-Jean Villa, who originally comes from the Rhône and runs his family estate in Chavanay. One can be curious about what is to come and assume that quality will continue to increase. Geoffroy and Pierre-Jean worked on the 2022 vintage together, and as everywhere in Burgundy, the wines are very fruity, accessible, and represent a solid and good vintage. The 1er Crus from Domaine Morot offer excellent value for money and correspond to a traditional style of wine typical for the region, which makes the hearts of true Burgundy lovers beat faster.
