Château Daugay – St. Emilion Grand Cru 2020

The 5.5 hectares of Château Daugay formerly belonged to the neighboring Château Angelus and became an independent estate following an inheritance. The terroir is characterized by limestone and cooling clay, which is ideal for the planting of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fruit-forward with ripe dark berries and stone fruit, soft tannins, and is full-bodied and juicy with a persistent finish and a Burgundian feel.
