The Lupicaia is one of the truly great Super Tuscans and stands somewhat in the shadow of its "-aia" colleagues. In terms of price, this is a great advantage, because in terms of content, we are talking about an elegant, fully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with intense aromas of bell pepper, cassis, and fine wood. Balanced and harmonious, the Lupicaia dances in the mouth; the fine-grained tannin structure holds everything together before it blissfully disappears into the evening sun over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
