The Grüner Veltliner Sand 1 from the Zöhrer winery has long been a classic – in Krems just as much as in our own Weinstein selection. Named after the famous Kremser Sandgrube vineyard and house number 1, it stands for exactly that uncomplicated, drinkable side of Grüner Veltliner that always works.
On the nose, yellow apple, pear, and a hint of citrus, accompanied by the typical fine spice of Grüner Veltliner. On the palate, it is juicy and pleasantly creamy, with fresh acidity, fine fruit, and a charming, refreshing finish. Light-footed, but by no means insignificant.
