Principe Corsini - Villa Le Corti - Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG “Cortevecchia” 2022

The Cortevecchia Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG from Principe Corsini – Villa Le Corti is an elegant red wine from Tuscany that captures the essence of the Chianti Classico region. It is made from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino and is organically farmed. The grapes are fermented in open-top, conical stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and then aged for 16 to 20 months in 27-hl oak barrels. Afterwards, the wine matures for another 6 months in the bottle to perfect its complexity and elegance. In the glass, the Cortevecchia presents itself in an intense ruby red. The bouquet reveals aromas of lavender, black cherry, rosehip, and pomegranate, complemented by subtle notes of cedar wood and dried herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced with fine-grained tannins and a pleasant spiciness on the finish.
