Pira - Barolo DOCG Margheria 2020

This Barolo is made using traditional vinification. After destemming, the Nebbiolo grapes ferment in steel tanks before the wine is matured in large wooden barrels (2,500 liters). This is where the wine gains its structure and body. After 2 years, the wine is aged for another year in the bottle before it goes on sale. The "Margheria" vineyard is heavily influenced by Helvetian soils, which give the Barolo a muscular body with powerful tannins. This Barolo is the bodybuilder among the Piedmontese wines, yet remains elegant and full of finesse. The complex aromas and the long finish make it one of the top wines from the region.
