Cesare Bussolo - Barolo DOCG Fossati 2021

The "Fossati" vineyard is one of the Grand Crus from La Morra. Calcareous Tortonian soils, with clay and a touch of sand, define the terroir. The bouquet is generous, with scents of raspberry, dark cherry, a hint of violet, menthol, fennel, undergrowth, and oak. Powerful in its tannins, yet simultaneously harmonious and hedonistic. A broad, culinary profile with plenty of elegance and stature. A salinity makes itself felt on the finish, reflecting the minerality of Fossati and making it unique. There is much to be written about this wine, and it ranks among the most important in our portfolio.
