Great entry-level Chianti from a wonderful family estate in the northern Val di Pesa, near San Casciano. The sandier soils make this Chianti softer and more approachable at an earlier stage than some of its counterparts further south. Dark, fruity aromas of cherry and wild berries, plenty of herbal notes and undergrowth, fine tannins, and a juicy mouthfeel. Very easy-drinking, charming, and inviting.
