Az. Agr. iTamasotti - Amarone Della Valpolicella DOCG 2017

Az. Agr. iTamasotti is a small winery tucked away in the hills of the Valpolicella region. Like the Valpolicella, the Amarone includes the Corvina, Corvinone, Oseleta, and Rondinella varieties. The appassimento method defines this wine style, lending the Amarone its incredible power, body, and intensity. At 17.5% ABV, it is by no means a light indulgence, yet the wine displays no harsh alcoholic notes. The alcohol enhances and clearly carries the intense fruit aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, dried plum, rum-preserved fruit, fig, raisins, vanilla, wood, as well as various herbal and forest notes. Even balsamic components emerge. Here, too, the delightful winemaking couple succeeds in giving the wine a sense of coolness and a depth of fruit rich in finesse. Sabina and Giacomo have created a fantastic style that is influenced by the great wines of Quintarelli, yet has found its own independent and characterful identity.
