The stones (galets) are the hallmark of the AC and shape the landscape. Furthermore, they act as heat storage. The wine can be blended from 13 (or 16) grape varieties, which is a peculiarity. White wines can also be blended in, or they can be released to the market as pure white wine cuvées.
