The current production of sommelier Pascal Krasa and young winemaker Manuel Humer comprises only around 10,000 bottles, and they are able to use the infrastructure for vinification at Humer's family estate. The vineyards, which the two cultivate together by hand, are located on the border of the Weinviertel region. Roter Veltliner is their focus as a grape variety, and it is well known to have enormous potential. The spicy bouquet, plenty of pepper, and the longevity of the Roter Veltliner give it tremendous potential. This is exactly what the two friends harness for their single-vineyard wine from Ried Steinbruch, for which they use used barriques. These give the Wagram a francophile touch as it heads out into the world. Stone fruit and citrus notes, vanilla, and wood complement the spice blend. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy, with lively acidity and great tension. The Rosé made from Blauer Portugieser (the grapes come from Ronthal in the Weinviertel) is also an interesting year-round wine that presents itself with character and elegance, offering an interesting change from the fruit-forward Austro-Rosés.
